 Mission Statement

Enrich for Life strives to improve the quality of life of higher-functioning adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through residential solutions and enrichment programs in Middle Tennessee.  Enrich classes, events and activities welcome higher-functioning adults of all ages fulfilling our goal of inclusion, community engagement and life-long learning.  All are welcome.

Enrich House at Academy Street- Tour the home!  Join the remodeling effort.  Make a donation!  Located at 1314 Academy Street, the house is within walking distance of the Williamson County Public Library and Academy Park in historic, downtown Franklin.  The home will accommodate female residents with IDD.  Residential support will be provided in collaboration with a local provider agency.  This first Enrich House will serve as a model that can be adapted to serve adults with all abilities.

Faith Friends, Acrylic Painting Class, Summer Bowling & Bocce Ball

Faith Friends Small Worship Group
meets Wednesday evenings, 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Brentwood Baptist Church.  Faith Friends meetings include engaging Bible lessons and scripture, laughter, music, games, fun and prayer.  Very special thanks to Faith Friends' leader Cyndy Muirhead and Brentwood Baptist Church for hosting Enrich for Life's Faith Friends again this year!  Our last Wednesday evening meeting is May 8. Faith Friends activities will be announced and posted throughout the summer. 




New Inclusive Acrylic Art Classes begin Wednesday mornings May 1, 8, 15, 29 & June 5, 12 from 9am until 11am at Academy Park Enrichment Center in Franklin.  (Enter the parking lot off Granbury). Fees: $14 per class and a one-time Registration fee of $15. RSVP to Allison at allison@enrichforlife.org615-397-4547 for a supplies list and details. This class is for higher-functioning adults 22 years and older. All are welcome!

SUMMERTIME BOWLING! Inclusive bowling for adults 22 years and older begins again Tuesday afternoons from May 21 to August 13 from 3pm - 4:30pm at Franklin Family Entertainment Center. The cost is $7 per bowler.  Email or call Allison Bender for details. All are welcome.


BOCCE BALL!  Everyone is welcome to play Bocce Ball this summer and fall. We had a great time last year!!  Bocce Ball begins Thursday mornings in June! Dates will be announced soon! Enrich for Life is supporting Special Olympics Bocce at TN State Competition on May 18, and our team is complete.  However, everyone is welcome to practice.  Contact Allison for details.

  • Advocate for local residential services for higher-functioning adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Create alternatives for supported, independent living, provide guidance regarding appropriate housing models, and share tools to minimize out-of-pocket costs for families.
  •  Develop continuing adult activities, education and personal development opportunities including Faith Friends, bowling, bocce, art classes, museum tours and community events.
  • Promote good-health including nutrition awareness, exercise, meal planning, participation in Special Olympics and other sports activities.
  • Encourage Spiritual Development through Faith Friends small worship group, engagement with the church community, attending concerts, other special events, and outings.

Enrich for Life is working with community partners to expand residential choices for adults with developmental disabilities, to increase fitness and wellness options, to facilitate ongoing adult education classes, and greater opportunities for personal and spiritual development.
